Stakeholder Involvement

Chief Administrator of a Sexual Assault Program

The individual in charge of a sexual assault program operating within the county or their designated representative.

Prosecutor

A prosecutor with jurisdiction over adult sexual assault cases in the county.

Sheriff

The county sheriff or their designated representative.

Chief of Municipal Law Enforcement

The chief of the largest municipal law enforcement agency in the county, if one exists, or their designee.

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) or Forensic Examiner

A SANE or forensic examiner who conducts exams within the county. If unavailable, a representative from the largest healthcare provider in the county is appointed.

Mental or Behavioral Health Provider

A mental or behavioral health provider within the county. If unavailable, a representative from the public health department serves in this role.

Additional Necessary Professionals

Other individuals or professionals deemed necessary by the SART for its operation and effectiveness.
